There is good news for console lovers. Last year In October you heard about Sony’s legal mess with Dbrand. Sony threatened the Dbrand to stop selling PS5 faceplates that were a rip-off of the original design.
This news after some weeks that Sony patented the PS5 side plates design. Sony was in a legal mess with brands named Trezn Gaming and Dbrand, known for selling custom dark plates for the PS5. Later on, Dbrand reintroduced the modified covers in the market to avoid any legal issues. Now Sony announced new colors for the PS5 faceplate and Dual sense controller will be available in 2022
Now onwards PS5 console covers will be available in 5 different colors announced by Sony. Replacing white faceplates on the PS5 console with the colors black, purple, pink, blue, or red.
It was announced on the PS Blog, the colored cover will be available in the first quarter of 2022, Black and Red color will be available in the first month of 2022. Purple, Blue, and Black color will arrive later. 2 versions of each color will be available, one is for Playstation5 Digital Edition and the second one is for PlayStation disc drive.

The DualSense controller’s color will be available in Galactic purple, Nova pink, and starlight blue in the first month of 2022. Red and Black are already released.

PS5 covers Availability
The covers will be available in the following regions: UK, USA, Canada, France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Australia, Austria, Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Korea, and Vietnam
Sony said that additional countries will be joined during the year 2022, and the exact release date will vary by territory. Starlight Blue, Nova Pink & Galactic Purple colored consoles will be available in these regions also. in the first quarter of 2022.
Sony is planning to release the PlayStation5 in other countries during the year 2022 but announce the details later. The new console covers firstly launch in the USA, UK, Germany &France. So, the customer from these countries experiences these new bright-colored consoles. In US & UK, the Galactic Purple DualDense will be available on 14th January.
